David Bruton Jr. is a former NFL veteran, having played 8 years in the league. He spent 7 seasons with the Denver Broncos, achieving Super Bowl 50 championship, and one season with the Washington Commanders. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame in 2009 with majors in political science and sociology, Bruton later pursued a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the CU Anschutz PT Program. Currently, he is the co-president of the CU PT alumni association and owns his own practice, Between the Lines Physical Therapy. Beyond his professional achievements, Bruton is passionate about reading, education, volunteering, golfing, and helping others succeed in life.

Even during his NFL days, he could be found immersed in books in the training room or between meetings during training camp. Recognizing the lifelong value of literacy, he believes that cultivating a love for reading in youth is a powerful tool for success. Inspired by numerous volunteer opportunities, he found the most rewarding experiences in educational-focused initiatives, further fueling his commitment to fostering education through Bruton’s Books.
